📋 Overview

TipidWise ("the App") is a personal budget tracking application built for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

📂 Data We Store

All data you enter into TipidWise is stored locally on your device using a secure on-device SQLite database. This includes:

• Expense records (title, amount, category, date, notes)
• Income records (title, amount, category, date, notes)
• Subscription records (name, amount, billing cycle, due dates)
• Budget limits you set per category
• App preferences (theme, currency)

This data is never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party.

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

TipidWise does not:

• Collect your name, email address, or any account information
• Require user registration or login
• Transmit financial data to any external server
• Use analytics or tracking SDKs (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude)
• Display advertisements
• Access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location
• Share any data with third parties

🔔 Notifications

TipidWise uses local push notifications to remind you of upcoming subscription due dates. These notifications are:

• Scheduled entirely on your device
• Never sent through any external notification server
• Only triggered when you add or update a subscription with reminders enabled

You can disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.

🌐 Internet Access

TipidWise requests internet permission as part of the standard Android build process (required by underlying libraries). However, the App does not make any network requests to any server. There is no backend, no API, and no cloud sync feature.

🔒 Data Security

Your data is stored in a private SQLite database on your device, protected by your device's built-in security (PIN, fingerprint, face unlock, etc.). Since we have no access to your data, we cannot be breached on your behalf.

We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a screen lock to secure your financial information.

👶 Children's Privacy

TipidWise is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since no data is collected by the App at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes in a material way, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Any future feature that involves data transmission will be clearly disclosed and will require your explicit consent before activation.
